Biographical Sketch

Kenneth Ray Terry was born March 2, 1955 in Lackey, Kentucky. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. Among his hobbies are archaeology, coins, stamps, and collectible historical items. He studies tai-chi and yoga, and holds black belts in karate, kenpo-jitsu, and tae kwon do. He received his associate of business from Tiffin University in Tiffin, Ohio. He is married and has three stepchildren. He is also a Freemason and belongs to the Disabled American Veterans.

1.1Korean Cash CoinAfter 1742

General Note

The coin is a "Sang Pyong Tong Bo" coin and appears to have been made by the Hojo Treasury Department some time after 1742. "Sang Pyong Tong Bo" translates to "always even currency," and is visible on the front side of the coin. The back of the coin displays the mark for the Hojo mint at the top, the symbol for "sun" on the left, and the character for "three" at the bottom. It has a value of one mun and appears to be a seed coin.
